Lacuna

This is Lacuna, replica's fic list library. This site serves as a faux fic rec list of sorts, a way for me to sort out and organize fics I've read and liked enough to favourite in some way, for whatever reason.

Why Lacuna? Well, why not? To your left is navigation. Fics are sorted by fandom type and then actual fandom. Any fandom with four or less fics gets filed under the "miscellaneous" section.

Most of the recs you'll find here are either going to be slash-heavy or a good mix of slash and gen. I have nothing against het by any means, I just rarely go searching for it.

format

Or in other words, how this archive works. Every non-miscellaneous fandom page is divided into three basic sections--slash, het, and gen. A few have an extra fourth section, if I feel there's enough of a special type of fic to justify that. At the top of each page is a total fic count, and then separate fic counts for each of the sections. Because in my experience, people tend to get more snarky over slash, anything that contains both het and slash will be in the slash section, unless the focus is het and there's one tiny sentence mentioning a slash pairing, because then it's just silly. Slash also includes both male slash and femmeslash, there are no separate sections.

As for the fics themselves... There is of course, first title and author. All links are set to open in a new window. If the fic is or has a sequel (or sequels), the fic title(s) will be linked immediately after the author name. If there is a little blue star after the author, it simply means that fic is one of my absolute favourites.

The summary is what the author has set, though I cut out any author's notes/disclaimers that are in the summary. If I cannot find a summary, I pull a line from the fic itself. I do not write any of the summaries on my own.

Following that are pairings/characters. I try to list all characters/pairings that appear in a fic, but sometimes I'll just have the main ones because it's been three years since I read the fic and it's too long for me to go through and find every character. I will also sometimes use "Team" or "Main Cast" to imply that all the major characters are in the fic, rather than waste space listing them all out.

If a fic has any important warnings I'm aware of, they'll follow the characters. Especially touchy ones such as rape or self-harm will be listed in red. After the warnings is the status, and it is simply complete or incomplete. Some incompletes are discontinued, some are abandoned, some are reguarly updating--none of it is noted. Lastly, there are the ratings: I take whatever the site uses or whatever the author has specified. If a fic doesn't have a rating I'll attempt to assign one myself.

If you've come across a fic where I've got the details wrong or left something out, please, email me with the correction. Just list the fandom it's in, copy/paste my original entry, and then post your own corrected version. I'll then verify and fix it.

And as a disclaimer, none of the fics listed here are archived on this site, nor will they be.
